Harrogate to Bury UK

After putting the kids to bed the Andrews took as to the Pub where we met up with Tim and Mike.

We lit some lanterns to re-enact part of Andrew and Andrew's commitment ceromony.

The lanterns floated up above their house and soared up into the distant sky.
The next day Andrew took us for a tour of Harrogate

We got to sit in Andrew's seat in the Council chambers.
He took us to the Royal Pump Room museum to see old Spa stuff and then to Bettys for tea.
We had a walk around the valley gardens of Harrogate

We headed off on the Train to York. Here is the view of York Minister from the City Walls

Old Houses along The Shambles in York
We met up with the family at the National Railway Museum in York
Despite having the world's best trains - the kids favourite was Thomas

Stephen hypnotised by train spotting with the family

Bus not getting very far at the Train Museum - shoulda caught the train.

Historic Royal Carriages

On the way back from York we got off the train a couple of stations early at Knaresborough where Stephen used to live

Its a beautiful town on a river.

There are ruins of an old castle

Next day we met up with another Andrew at Bury just outside Manchester
We went past the Ferris Wheel on our way out in Manchester

We had a great time in the clubs
Walking home from the club we found ourselves in the middle of the Manchester Marathon
Shopping Mall in Manchester

We went for a walk from Ramsbottom

Looking across to wind turbines on the next Moor

Climbing to the summit above Peel Tower

Windturbines over Ramsbottom Houses

Ramsbottom Church at the end of our walk. Wynnie is cute but rather Ziggy then an oversized rat.
